Have you heard about the lotions that you put on in the shower and then immediately rinse off? Seems sort of counter-intuitive, right? It would seem like it would be rinsing the product right down the drain.
However, think about hair conditioner. Most people will rinse that out of their hair without a second thought and it still leaves their hair soft and conditioned. So, it is really the same concept.
I have tried the Eucerin In-Shower Moisturizer and Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion. I did not have a preference between these two. There are different varieties of the Nivea lotions while Eucerin is fragrance free. I did like them very much and they have quite a few advantages over traditional lotions.
Normal lotions take time. You have to make sure it is all rubbed in and then wait until it is completely dry before you put your clothes on. Many lotions will also leave you feeling sticky or greasy for a while afterwards.
The rinse off lotions take a few seconds to rub on your body and rinse right off. There is no waiting. Then, when you get out of the shower and dry yourself as you normally would, you have super soft, hydrated skin with no stickiness.
Since trying those, I have tested another similar product, but a little different. Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer is a quick to us lotion that you use right after you are done with your shower, but before you dry yourself. However, you do not rinse this one. Instead, you just dry your body as you normally would after you get out of the shower and your skin is moisturized. So, thinking back to conditioner, this would be more like a leave in. Out of the three products I mentioned, this one is my favorite. I think it works the best and longest and I love the way it smells.
Have you tried any of these products or a similar one? Or do you prefer your traditional lotions?
